The Christmas truce is one of our favorite stories of Christmas.

"But without the state we would have bloodshed and chaos." This real historic event gives us a different view of reality, that humanity strives to get along with one another even when the state tells us to hate each other.

The Christmas truce was a series of widespread (but unofficial) ceasefires along the Western Front of World War I around Christmas 1914.
