Portland CEO's now get taxed an extra 10% because they are getting paid too much.
In a sure fire way to decrease tax revenue because Portland city councillors don't know how the free market economy works. They were aghast that CEO's could be paid so much.
A lot of blame is directed toward CEO's these days. The way we see it is, as long as the company is not receiving and unfair govt subsidies, we're happy they are being as profitable as they are.
Let the free market decide if the CEO needs a pay cut. Regulations like these will inevitably lower tax revenues and available jobs in that city.
